A wine between land and sea
What a better way to appreciate the differences that underwater treasure brings to a wine than to compare it with the same wine aged in a land-based winery?
The duet packs of Crusoe Treasure allow us to compare and enjoy the differences that the sea brings to the wines. Same bottle and same wine, but aged separately in completely opposite environments that come together again in the duet packs.
The first difference is appreciated as soon as you open the box, on the one hand, a clean bottle, shiny black. On the right, an apparently worn bottle, covered with remains of marine life due to the period that the bottle has been submerged in the sea.
A comparative tasting is the perfect way to experience the different effects of sea and land in the same wine, find the similarities they share and the differences that make wines treasured under the sea so special, even though they both share the same essence.
“The wines treasured at the bottom of the sea keep the best of a young wine: the colour and the aroma; and the best of a grand reserve: the roundness in the mouth, the integration of the tannins and the minerality”, says Antonio T. Palacios, director of oenology at Bodega Crusoe Treasure.
The duet packages are limited editions, only 500 units of these cases have been produced for each of the wines from the Sea Soul and Sea Passion collections. A unique opportunity to enjoy in a special way an Albariño (Sea Soul Nº1), a Syrah (Sea Soul Nº4), an early maturing wine (Sea Soul Nº3 and Sea Passion Nº2), a white Grenache (Sea Soul Nº7), a very special red (Sea Passion Nº6) or a red Grenache and Syrah (Sea Passion Nº9).
