All the marine species that appear in our packagings are typical from this area of the Cantabrian Sea. They live, feed and/or reproduce in our underwater winery-artificial reef, which has formed a complex, stable and healthy ecosystem that contributes to the conservation of marine life of the area.
Today we want to introduce you to one of the marine species that live in the underwater winery – artificial reef and that coexists with our wines: the rainbow wrasse (Coris julis). This fish, very common in our sea, is hermaphrodite and presents a very complex and quite spectacular courtship that happens in early summer. In the nuptial parade the male attracts the female with his peculiar movements.
You will find the painting of this fish, made in watercolor by the Japanese artist Yusei Nagashima, in the Sea Soul wine packagings. The white wines that have lived with this colorful species are Sea Soul Nº1 and Sea Soul Nº7. And the red wines are Sea Soul Nº3, Sea Soul Nº4 and Sea Soul Nº8.
Soon we will continue detailing all the species that accompany our wines in their underwater treasuring process.
But now, have you already located the rainbow wrasse?
