This summer we present two new experiences to do in our “home”, in Plentzia and surroundings. Visits in the open air, in private groups *, where the important is to relax, to get away and too enjoy the good company and a unique wine.

 

In today’s post, we will talk about the visit to the Barrika’s vineyard:

CRUSOE TREASURE IN THE VINEYARD

Our underwater wine treasuring process consists of two stages: the terrestrial and the underwater. In this experience you will have the opportunity to know why our underwater wines treasured under the sea are so different.

To begin, you will be met by a person of the founding team, at the place where everything started, in Plentzia. There, you will receive a basket per couple** with everything you need to enjoy a this very special experience.

After a pleasant walk by the sea, from where you will see where the underwater winery is located, you will go to our local vineyard by car (just 5 minutes from Plentzia) ***.

Once we reach the vineyard we will walk around and learn about its history. We will explain you how our enologist, Antonio T. Palacios, decides which grapes accomplish quality standards at Bodega Crusoe Treasure, why we make wines with certain varietals and the winery process that prepares our wines to be aged at the bottom of the sea.

To finish, you will sit on the terrace, tasting one of our underwater treasures paired by an aperitif of local products that you will find inside the basket. A moment to enjoy, overlooking the vineyard, with the sea in the background, in an open and quiet space that only a few know.

* Experiences are done in private groups; groups are not mixed.
** The basket will be shared with people from the same cohabitation unit. During the reservation will be requested: number of people for the visit and if you cohabitate. In the basket you will find hand sanitizer too. The contents of the basket may vary depending on the reserved experience.
*** The route until the vineyard will be made by each one in his car for safety reasons.

Main precautions taken against COVID-19:

• We will reinforce the cleaning measures of the materials, the utensils used for the tastings and the different spaces used during the enotourism experiences before and after the visits, as established by the Ministry of Health.
• All the visitors will have at their disposal gel or disinfectant solution, tissues and waste disposal bins.
• The spaces are enabled and the capacity is modified in order to maintain a safety distance of two meters. If at any time this distance cannot be maintained, the use of masks will be obligatory.
