Inspired by this concept of winemaking, of artisanal wine production carried out in small French garages, the term “Bodega Boutique” was born. The current concept of boutique winery is based on the production of “signature wines“, with excellent quality. This type of winery is responsible of producing a small number of litters of wine, with greater dedication and care both for the wine and for everything that surrounds it.
Wineries focused on producing more quality than quantity
This type of winery bets on limited productions, adding greater exclusivity to the wine and focusing on small details to add value. There is a wide range of prices, from very affordable wines to those that have become recognized and exclusive wines. In addition to the production and sale of wine, these wineries offer something else. They combine gastronomy and culture in a more relaxed and quieter environment. These wines are aimed at people who like and enjoy drinking wine, at a personalized treatment with the client to whom they try to instil their production philosophy and their passion.
Crusoe Treasure, beyond the traditional boutique winery
Crusoe Treasure, in addition to being the first underwater winery – artificial reef in the world, falls under the concept of boutique winery, since it works with a limited range of bottles with great dedication from the origin, selecting the best vines, which is already it does provide exceptional quality to the wine, it works a lot on the relationship with the client through visits, virtual tastings, and all kinds of experiences and events, always very limited, reduced and exclusive. The underwater treasuring process of our wine bottles in our reef give them an unparalleled colour, aroma, flavour and silkiness. Each bottle of Crusoe Treasure is numbered and is part of an exclusive print run.
The underwater winery – sea reef Crusoe Treasure is located in the Bay of Plentzia, (Bizkaia, Euskadi, Spain) in an underwater area of 500m2. The natural beauty of the landscape, together with our history, allows us to offer unique wine tourism experiences, from boat trips and tastings on board to wine tastings focused in learning more about the history of the winery. Also, we organize virtual tastings to those who prefer the comfort of their home and want to experience a tasting by video call or all kinds of personalized, unique and tailor made experiences.
